With over 25 years of experience in domestic and international missions, Mission Encounter provides short-term mission trips to youth groups, college groups, adult groups, and families.
 
Mission Encounter believes that short-term mission trips can provide an incredible departure point for a lifetime of service, spiritual growth, and discipleship. Their goal is to connect Christian volunteers of many faith-traditions to a variety of host communities around the country and beyond. Mission Encounter proves to be a valuable resource to both the full-time pastor and the part-time lay leader as they provide meaningful projects and "turn key" events for  volunteer groups.

More than 200 youth were commissioned by the Bishop at the April 9-10 Bishop's  Confirmation Retreat. However, there were others who wanted to participate but couldn't, due to full registration.  

 

Because of that, Bishop Brown will hold a one-day worship, Communion, and commissioning service for confirmation candidates on Saturday, June 5, with a celebration meal immediately following. Cost will be just $20 per attendee. 

 

This special event will be hosted by First Tongan United Methodist Church in San Bruno from 3 to 6 p.m. on June 5.
